Our kitchen must have had a birthday today!  Cabinets large and in charge arrived neatly wrapped in paper this morning. Tomorrow they will be installed.  As joyous as it was to see them placed in the kitchen, the last 24 hours before they arrived was a race against the clock to prepare for this.  We were not finished with the ceiling or done laying the new wood floor.  Poor P stayed up until 3 am laying as much as he could and tonight he will finish the room.

Bye Bye ceiling; Hello beadboard!

P, with the help of James, patiently nails each piece of beadboard to furring strips he installed on the ceiling.  This is a classic look that took three days lay (its a long room!).

  

This afternoon kitchen flooring was this far along.

We need to be done by 8 am tomorrow morning.  Wish us luck!!  Stay tuned for the reveal of how they look when installed!  

I am dying to unwrap them and see all the colors!
